The 2009 "Most Fashionable Home Furnishing" Award Ceremony and the 9th Anniversary Celebration of "Fashionable Home Furnishing" kicked off in the banquet hall of Jinmao Beijing Westin Hotel, and Suwalper Wallpaper won the "Most Fashionable Home Furnishing Brand Award". We had the honor to interview Alan Kang(Jia-Xiang), the general manager of Shanghai Suwalper Wallpaper Co., Ltd. at the event site. Alan Kang(Jia-Xiang): It is really a great honor for Shanghai Suwalper's imported brand "Living Style" to win the "Most fashionable Home Brand Award" voted by fashion home readers, and it is also the only wallpaper brand among all the 20 brands awarded. This is indeed a great affirmation for a brand whose positioning is to fashion itself. The brand goal of Living Style is to become a bright, fashionable, popular, and through-art theme product, hoping to interpret wallpaper into a new horizon.
When we first established this brand, we had several clear design perspectives. The first was fashion, the second was popular, and we also hoped to elevate wallpaper from a general decoration perspective to an artistic level. Therefore, the brand itself is positioned as a relatively high-end brand. In addition to being used by tasteful individuals, it is mainly aimed at designers. Although the brand has not been in operation for a long time, it differs greatly from many domestic imported brands in terms of design concepts. We are not simply importing imported wallpapers, but rather bringing in foreign products designed for other countries and their markets. In the process of R&D and design, we will constantly communicate with designers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and other places to propose elements suitable for the Chinese market, ensuring that it meets the needs of the Chinese market more from a design perspective. I believe this is something that most imported wallpaper brands cannot do.
This award further confirms that designing from a fashion perspective will become a trend that consumers can accept. I also hope that in the next voting event, besides Living style, our Suwalper brand will have the opportunity to receive this honor together.
